Is SSAS Regulated?
Yes it is.
There are different kinds of pension regulations in the UK. You have SIPPS and Personal Pension-style contracts which are regulated by the FCA. SSAS is actually regulated directly by HMRC and The Pensions Regulator.
As part of what we do at One Crown Pensions, we keep you in line with those regulations. It is incumbent upon One Crown Pensions to make sure that the annual returns are made to HMRC so that they are fully aware of what is going on inside the SSAS. Furthermore, on a tri-annual basis, we make a return to The Pensions Regulator as well.
